Note: The above comparisons are based upon the following
premises:
- A 58 liter cylinder of four gas mixture containing hydrogen
sulfide at a cost of $265.00 (with the initial cost to also include
$126.00 regulator).
- A 103 liter cylinder of three gas mixture which does not contain
hydrgoen sulfide at a cost of $144.00 (with the initial cost to also
include $126.00 regulator).
- An ACD Cal 2000 generator and hydrogen sulfide cell at a cost of
$2200.00 (0.5 LPM flow) with a cell replacement cost of $600.00.
- The "Total cost per minute of calibration (with all new
equipment)" is based on the cost of a four gas cylinder and
regulator compared to the cost of a three gas cylinder and regulator
plus the cost of a Cal 2000 generator and a Cal 2000 hydrogen
sulfide cell.
- The "Total cost per minute of calibration (with existing
regulator or Cal 2000 instrument)" is based on the cost of a
replacement four gas cylinder compared to the replacement cost of a
Cal 2000 hydrgoen sulfide cell. This total assumes the user is
either using a previously purchased regulator and/or is using a
previously purchased Cal 2000 instrument.
